Decisions...decisions

Hi folks...the Grand Designs make-over is almost done...I've crossed the finishing line of the painting marathon and am delighted to be hanging up the paintbrush for a while...no more paint speckled hair but sadly no more visits from the hunky joiners to look forward to either...in other words this battered and bruised Project Manager is coming to the end of her contract...soon to be unemployed...
or I will be after I've chosen the stair carpet...crikey have you been in a carpet store recently...the choice is mind boggling...there's wool...80/20 wool mix...man-made...Twist and Shag and in every conceivable colour known to man...then there's plain....patterned or the new very on trend...stripes.
do I go for DARK to hide The Furry Boy's muddy footprints or LIGHT to camouflage the billions of hairs he releases into the atmosphere each day...Mrs Indecisive has a "just can't make up my mind" dilemma on her hands. It could well end up being a MIDDLE OF THE ROAD...eeny meeny miny moe or close my eyes and wherever my finger lands...DECISION. And Mr Kevin McCloud will be pleased to know it came in well within the budget...yes there are pennies left in the pot for a fun shopping day out hunting down lampshades...pictures and those all important little bits and pieces.
But I have more important things on my mind today...the Wimbledon Mens Singles Final...it's going to be an edge of the seat battle to the very last point clash between my favourite tennis stars...the mighty Federer and the ultimate athlete Djokovic. Will Roger manage to clinch a record breaking 8th Wimbledon title or will Novak manage to wrestle it from his grasp to return to the No 1 spot...either way it's going to be a big box office...not an empty seat in the house...crowd pleaser and a very emotional "tears all round" afternoon.

  4. What a beautiful light hall you have now, the paint job is excellent! I am sure you will make the right decision on the carpet.

Tour de France for us after all of yesterday's excitement, I feel exhausted though - perhaps it would be best to watch the men's final instead today! Hugs, Anne xx

  5. Hall looks fab Kath - as I too have a moulting machine in the house (white hairs) I would go for lightish neutral with a scotch guard finish! Good luck with choosing - not as easy as it should be. love Susan X

  6. Fabulous work Kath. You are one talented lady. With light coloured pet hairs neutral is always a good colour. It's a battle you cannot win as know. Good Luck with your choices. Love your staircase, very trendy. Enjoy your afternoon, I think jockie will do it again. Hugs Rita xxx

  8. Hi Kath, I'm sure you'll make the right choice when the time comes, usually you see it right away and end up going back to it after hours of searching. Love your spindles on the staircase, the house is looking mighty good as it should be with all the hard work you put into it. Enjoy the tennis...Trish
