A Big Thank You...

Hi folks...I just want to say a big thank you for the birthday cards and good wishes here and on Facebook...I wasn't able to reply to you all individually because the Wi-Fi in the hotel was "hit and miss" pants. It's hard to believe that this time last week I was getting ready to leave for Birmingham quite unaware of the drama that was about to unfold...the e-mail from Flybe at 5.00am on Wednesday morning cancelling my flight needed a bit of quick thinking...the show must go on as they say and by 8.00am I was on a train speeding south. Change at Edinburgh and then relax all the way to Birmingham International...not so...we had to change trains at Crewe due to a fatality on the train...crikey suddenly my day didn't seem quite so bad. My lovely buddy Enfys picked me up at the station and whisked me to The NEC...a huge thank you for helping me set up the workshop in record time...you are a true friend.
then we hopped over to the retail stand to join in the fun of the "debris everywhere" build up...
but before you know it's the first day of the show and time to rock 'n roll...
and have lots of crafting fun with 240 lovely crafters...a chance to catch up with seasoned regulars and make new friends too including the superstar ever so cute 3 month old Alfie...he and I had a little dance around the tables while Mum completed her tag...
A big thank you to all my blogging friends...Fiskarettes and Buddy's give-away ticket winners who popped by to say hello and of course...it's the time that I get to meet up with extra special friends again...AnneAlison, Kim and Lynne and to spend time with my retailer chums that I only see twice a year but the icing on the cake is hanging out with my fabulous Fiskars family...Hina and Enfys...love you guys...thanks for 5 days of  fun Fiskars style. I'm taking some time out for some rest and relaxation but I'll be back soon.
Toodle-oo for now
Hugs Kath xxx

  1. It must all seem such a whirlwind...all that work to prepare and then over in the blink of an eye.
Enjoy some quiet time now you are home and snuggle up with the golden boy with a nice cuppa.

  3. It was great to see you, and our lives always involve a bit of drama! You left out the bit about being driven round and round the NEC complex as I tried to find the right car park - people have climbed Everest in less time than it took us to park......love you x

  4. Morning Kath. Wow what an adventure you had getting to the show. But sounds like you had a lot of fun and laughs as well. Enjoy your well earned rest and recuperation time. Hugs. Jan.xx
